Salzburg is a beautiful old city located close to the German boarder. The city is in one of Austria´s smaller provinces but is one of the most important for the tourist industry. Every year thousands of visitors from all over the world come to visit the "small paradise" of Salzburg.

Salzburg is famous for its cultural tradition that extends far into the past. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart represents the high point of Classical music tradition. The city attracts thousands of art and culture lovers who annually visit the world-renowned Salzburg Festival, founded in 1920. Overlooking the magical city stands the impressive Hohensalzburg Fortress which was built in 1077 by Archbishop Gebhard and later enlarged by Archbishop Leonhard Von Keutschach from 1495-1519. It is the largest, fully preserved fortress in central Europe.                                                                                                                 Anyone who visits Salzburg will be enchanted by its charming character and magical landscape. The ancient Linzergasse, a street located at the foot of the Kapuzinerberg, and the Getreidegasse, just across the bridge, and situated in the old town, are a shoppers paradise. All lined with quality fashion houses, restaurants, hotels, and bars. Salzburg is as popular in winter as it is in summer. Many people come to Salzburg to ski as the city is only a short ride away from many major skiing resorts.                                   This is a city that you will fall in love with.
