Our bike tour is suitable for all ages and a great way for families to explore the city rather than having the kids squirming around in a coach-bus. Our youngest guest so far was six weeks and our oldest ….well I didn’t want to ask…
We have children’s bikes, trailers, seats and tag along (adult-child tandem) bikes, of all sizes. Participants need to know the basics of riding a bike, but no special cycling experience is necessary. Even travellers who haven’t sat on a bike for 20 years get along fine! But if you are worried, to get back into the swing of riding again, you are more than welcome to come a bit earlier, so that you have some time to ride the bike around our courtyard. You can trust in your childhood experience because after all, once one learns to ride a bike one doesn’t forget how!
If you don’t feel confident riding alone we also have an adult tandem bike available to double the fun!
Our tour takes place in small groups, so there is plenty of time for talking and getting to know each other. Our international and well travelled tour guide team love to hear all about you, your thoughts on culture, travelling and life, and about all the adventures you have been on, and they definitely all have a few good stories of their own to tell too!

We wish that we could provide bright blue skies and sunshine for all of our guests, but of course it has to rain sometimes, otherwise the farmers would complain.
A little water won’t stop our well seasoned guide from giving you a good time, so don’t let it stop you either! If you have it, bring your own rain gear along, otherwise we offer rain-ponchos for the guest who is caught off guard. Our comfortable cruiser bikes are equipped with mudguards and a heated seat.
Well… ok… the seat at least feels warm once you have been sitting on it long enough 😉

The city of Salzburg has repeatedly been designated as the most bicycle-friendly city in Austria.
The locals recognized the advantages of riding a bicycle in Mozart’s city a long time ago. An intricate bicycle path network helps us to lead you safely in and around Salzburg. With over 170 kilometres of attractive cycle paths (don’t worry we don’t cover it all on our 3.5 hour tour!) with 900 signs and 23 scenic bicycle routes through the city we have the opportunity to choose the best way to get you to where you want to be. There are separate bicycle lanes along many roads and special underpasses for cyclists on both sides of the Salzach (the big river running through town) ensuring that you do not need to cross main roads.
The route is safe for children and we do our best to look out for all our guests and give you safety instructions whenever necessary, but it is needless to say of course that the safety of your children and yourselves is your own responsibility. This tour is taken at your own risk.
